Editors who push export.

About Video Edit Reviews

Who We Are

We're a small crew of editors, motion nerds, and chronic re-cutters who spend more hours than we'd admit inside other people's timelines. The corner we obsess over is the everyday editor — the tool you actually open on a Tuesday to ship a reel, a YouTube cut, or a client deliverable that's already late. We bring loud opinions, bright graphics, and zero patience for boring software writing.

Why We Started

It started after the fourth straight week of bouncing between cluttered editors, pricing pages that hid the actually-relevant tier three scrolls down, and review sites that read like they'd been generated by a software's own press kit. So we built the catalog we wanted: bright pages, plain language, and a ranking that survives a real export instead of a feature checklist.

How We Test

Every editor gets dragged through the same gauntlet: a 30-second vertical cut, a multicam interview, and a four-minute long-form edit. We time the exports, render side-by-side at matching settings, and throw in deliberately weird footage — 60fps phone clips next to drone 4K, blown-out audio, a fake-corrupted file — to see what cracks. The notes from those sessions are what fill the reviews.

What You Won't Find Here

No affiliate hype dressed up as a review. No ten-thousand-word SEO filler that buries the verdict on scroll seven. No recycled press releases with a fresh byline. If a tool we like raises its price or breaks a feature, the page changes — rankings move on what the software actually does, not on what a partnership deck says.

Questions, corrections, a pet editor we missed, or the weirdest footage you've ever exported — send it to [email protected]. We read everything, especially the messy clips destined for the next benchmark. Bring the chaos.
